The JCC offers fun and exciting ways to help celebrate your child's
birthday. Use our spacious main gym, activity-filled children's gym,
challenging rock wall, refreshing indoor or outdoor pools or our modern
art studios to have a memorable birthday.
Gym/Sports parties
One hour of games and activities in the gym. Many
games and sports to choose from at your child's request, including
basketball, soccer, floor hockey or non-competitive games like messy
back yard. (Ages 4+)
Children's Gym parties
Children's Gym parties involve a half-hour of
supervised free play and a half-hour of activities. The games are
played in a fun, non-competitive atmosphere. (Ages 3-5)
Indoor/Outdoor Pool parties
Perfect for children who love to swim. Splash around,
engage in fun swimming games. Facilitator will be in the water
directing games and activities with the children. (Must be a member of
the outdoor pool for outdoor pool parties. If your child is below age
7, parents must accompany swimmers in the water. Bathing caps required
in the indoor pool.)
Water Slides
Kids rave about our water slides! A perfect addition to
any outdoor pool party. (Just add $75 to the cost of a pool party.)
Two, inflatable, 6' water slides are set up on the West Lawn. If you
prefer your entire party on the West Lawn, we will provide a tent and 3
water slides. (Must be a member of the Outdoor Pool.)
Rock Wall & Ropes Course parties
Hang out with your friends on our 30-foot rock wall!
Parties take place for one hour on the rock wall. Led by two
experienced, certified staff members. (A third instructor may be
required depending on the size of party.) Gain confidence scaling our
wall. Learn the basics of rock wall climbing. Rock wall games and
activities included. (Ages 6+)
Dance, Drama and Art parties

Dance (ages
3-12): Join us for some high energy fun! Learn the latest dance moves
including hip-hop, jazz, ballet, tap, creative movement or a combined
hour of all styles in a professional dance studio.
Drama (ages 5-10): Lights, costumes, action!
Children stage a story with our basic props and costumes or
mix-and-match to create their own. A ready-made mini-script is provided
as a jumping off point to use imagination and to learn acting
technique. Everyone gets a chance to participate in this unique,
playful show created in a spontaneous environment.
Puppetry (ages 5-10): Bring to life a new
character! An activity culminating in a group play, children create
puppet personalities from a rich assortment of materials. May include
sock puppets, marionettes, shadow and finger figures, or felt hand
puppets.

Pottery (ages
3-12): Young children choose from Fantastic Fantasy dragons, gargoyles
and dinosaurs, to Friendly Farm Friends, to other familiar objects such
as candy dishes, boxes or banks. Older kids design their own functional
or decorative pieces. Traditional kiln fired ceramics.
Super Sculpey (ages 3-5): Perfect for little
ones who are exploring art materials. Sculpey is a rainbow colored,
synthetic clay that can be dried and hardened in your oven at home.
Projects include imaginative animals and critters.
Painting (ages 3-12): Select a theme such as
Sea Quest (underwater seascapes), Out of this World (planets,
astronauts and rocket ships), My Family (parents, siblings, pets) and
Critters (animals, insects, creatures). Adapted to any age group,
teachers will provide guidance as children explore themes using
watercolor, pastels, and acrylics; older children may use easels. All
paints and glues are water-based; smocks are available.
Mixed Media (ages 2-4): Anything goes at this
do-it-all parent and child party. Come dressed to party and paint,
collage, and rubber-stamp. Great fun!
Collage (ages 4 -10): Free-form expression or
theme-based exploration of color, design, texture, shape, and line
using an assortment of papers, fabrics, and 3-D add-ons. Appropriate
for all age groups.
Woodworking (ages 5-8): Assemble, glue and
paint a wood-kit project from a wide selection including cars, boats,
airplanes, bug catcher-boxes, puzzles and picture frames.
Jewelry (ages 8-12): Beads, beads, beads!
Using jewelry wire, children will design and create fashionable
necklaces, pins, earrings or bracelets. Decorate a beautiful jewelry
box to hold special treasures. (Limited to 12 guests.)
Masks (ages 5-10): Put on a happy or maybe a
scary face! Using plaster forms and various embellishments including
feathers, paint, sequins, and fake fur - make your own creative
statement. Limited only by your imagination!
Magic Ark Children’s Series: An outstanding
series of family entertainment with an exciting roster of theatre,
music, comedy and more. A fun and enriching theatre experience for all!

Children’s Technology Workshop parties
The perfect party to satisfy any whizz kid! Hands-on
computer-based activities featuring a wide range of engaging projects.
All equipment is provided (laptops, disks, materials and resources).
One to two hours depending on age group and project.

Pixelation Celebration
(ages 7-9): Using a computer and a webcam, children will learn a
special animation technique and will produce a hilarious, entertaining
movie as a keepsake. (1 hour)
Construct-A-Catapult (ages 8-10): Build an
ancient catapult that hurls sponge balls with incredible accuracy!
Children learn about energy and applied science as they build,
experiment and discover. Finished catapults are taken home. (90
minutes)
Construct-A-Robot (ages 9-11): We love
LEGO®! Design and construct a kid-powered 4-legged walking robot
using LEGO Technic materials with an electric motor. The workshop
culminates with a group robot race providing an opportunity for
memorable pictures! This project is disassembled for other parties. (90
minutes)
Gamemaker (ages 10-13): A challenge for
critical thinkers with wild imaginations! Guided by the instructor,
participants will create their very own computer game. Topics will be
selected based on the age and level of the group, and may include
volleyball, an Egyptian maze, a Mars-lander, or a car race. Game files
can be downloaded to play at home (Windows-only). (2 hours)
Movie Makers (ages 10-13): Children work in
small teams to create a stop-motion animation using a computer and a
webcam. Write a story, create characters and build a backdrop. All
equipment is provided and movies are taken home. (2 hours) |
Party Details
Parties are for 1.5 hours (unless otherwise noted) -
one hour with an instructor and a half-hour for refreshments in a
private room. Parties include up to 20 invitations to send to your
guests. Parties are available any day except Saturday.
Work out while your kids enjoy the party!
Birthday parties at the JCC are fun for adults, too.
Each party includes 20 guest passes for parents or caregivers to use
while children participate in the party.
Refreshment Room
Refreshments (cake, ice cream, etc.) may be served in
the designated room following the activity. You may set up your room a
half-hour after the activity party starts. The party room includes
covered tables and 20 chairs.
Food
We have an onsite kosher caterer whom you can enlist for cake, ice
cream, pizza, sandwiches or other items. We provide a refrigerator and
freezer for your convenience. If we are supplying the cake and ice
cream, all food items are pareve dairy. Or, you may bring in any kosher
dairy food you like. We have the names of kosher bakeries if you need
suggestions.

A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required when booking the party. If
we cannot accommodate your time request, we will refund your deposit.
Full payment is due when we confirm your party.
