Director of Marketing Programs
Job Title: Director of Marketing Programs
Department: Strategic Marketing
Reports to: Vice President, Strategic Marketing
Position Summary: The Director of Marketing Programs is responsible for a range of services relating to the JCC’s marketing activity, with focus on assuring that programs to engage various audiences are of the highest quality and delivered through means that meet the ongoing needs of our constituents, consistent with the business goals of the JCC. The role requires a flexible individual who is capable of interfacing with multiple strategic business unit (SBU) teams (e.g., camping, early learning, arts, etc.), as well as with consultants, media and others, with diplomacy and a clear-eyed vision that will help us to achieve the articulated goals. Position reports to the Vice President, Strategic Marketing.
Essential Functions: Responsibilities of the role may include, but are not limited to:
SBU marketing support (75%)
- Development of marketing plans to support assigned SBUs, working closely with AVPs and their teams
- Coordination with internal marketing teams (online, creative, etc.) to assure smooth and timely management of marketing programs specified in the plans
- Creation, execution, and management of programs specified in the plans
- Ongoing assessment (feedback loop) to assure continued high quality and utility of our efforts, and constituents’ receptivity to our initiatives
- General consultative service to SBUs and others as required
JCCGB marketing support (25%)
- Support for the VP of Strategic Marketing in various strategic initiatives, including new service development and cross-organizational efforts
- Participation in discussion and planning of JCC-wide marketing programs, with some execution responsibilities possible
- Other duties as required by business needs
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements
- Proven expertise (8 years+) in developing and executing on- and offline marketing programs that engage key constituencies with organizations’ products and/or services
- Proven marketing communications and production experience (PR, collateral development, etc.) helpful
- Ability to work independently, balanced with skill in working with multiple constituencies simultaneously
- Project management skills
- Minimum BA/BS degree
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral
- Enthusiasm for and commitment to the JCC’s mission
- Must be Boston-area based

Development Assistant Position (25 hours/week)
General administrative support for Development Department
Gift Entry
- Prepares gifts for entry in iMIS
- Coordinates with Business Office the batches for entering gifts
- Informs Business Office of any special situations or specific instructions
- Researches donor giving issues as they arise
Billing
- Tracks gifts that need to be billed and coordinate the mailing of such bills
- Tracks overdue gifts and report information to supervisor
Records and Reports
- Files donor records such correspondence and other relevant information
- Prepares basic Development reports as needed
- Requests more advanced reports from IT Department as needed
General Administrative
- Maintains Departmental calendar of activities
- Helps set up meetings and makes room reservations & food orders when needed
- Assists with maintenance of office files.
Correspondence to donors, prospects and foundations
- Creates acknowledgement letters for general gifts
- Creates customized acknowledgement letters as needed
- Creates other types of donor correspondence such as updates or follow-up to meetings
- Proofreads and edits documents and correspondence as needed
- Works with supervisor to send gift acknowledgements to donors in a timely manner
- Draft miscellaneous correspondence, including IMO and IHO gifts
- Assists with the writing of portions of grant proposals as needed
- Sends out grant proposal packages and other donor correspondence as needed
- Oversees departmental mailings for various purposes
- Helps coordinate projects with a printer and mail house for larger projects
Support Director of Annual Giving & Events
- Help with event logistics as needed
- Help with annual campaign support projects as needed
- Help with departmental marketing needs
Support VP of Development
- Help with preparation of major gift solicitations as needed
- Help with special projects such as basic donor research as needed
- Help with basic budget preparation and expense reports as needed
Qualifications
- Ability to work in a work environment involving multiple tasks at priorities
- Strong verbal and writing skills
- Strong MS Office knowledge, especially Excel and mail merge required.
- Prior experience in working with database systems.
- Experience in customer service, good phone and email manners essential.
- Ability to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to learn other software as needed
- Prior experience in a Development office, especially in terms of producing donor correspondence and managing the donor database, is an asset
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Project Assistant – Jewish Life and Connections Department
The Jewish Community Centers of Greater Boston, located in Newton, MA seeks self-motivated and web savvy Project Assistant for approximately 15 hours/week. The Project Assistant will provide administrative support to the Administrative Coordinator. Responsibilities include online marketing, art studio maintenance, and general office assistance.
The ideal candidate will have administrative support experience and will be capable of tackling a variety of projects and multi-tasking in a stimulating environment. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Seeking part time member relations professional for Leventhal-Sidman JCC in Newton. This is a visible front desk position responsible for increasing membership, selling services and programs, creating an excellent experience for all JCC members and guests, and implementing various administrative procedures and tasks.
Must be friendly, customer service oriented, computer and sales savvy, have the ability to multi-task, and be an excellent problem solver.
